Accessibility statement
1. Commitment to Accessibility
I want my coaching and this website to be accessible to as many people as possible. This includes golfers and visitors who may use assistive technologies, different devices, or have visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments.
My website is built on the Wix platform, which provides a range of accessibility features, and I aim to use those tools in a way that makes the content as clear and usable as possible.
2. Measures I Take
I aim to:
-
Use clear, simple language wherever possible.
-
Structure pages with headings and logical sections.
-
Ensure good colour contrast between text and background.
-
Add alternative text (alt text) to images where it is helpful to describe them.
-
Make buttons and links clear and descriptive (for example “Book Online Coaching”).
-
Regularly review the site layout on desktop and mobile.
I also use Wix’s built-in tools to help with accessibility (for example responsive layouts and default keyboard navigation).
3. Accessibility of My Services
My coaching services are mainly:
-
Online coaching and 3D swing analysis – delivered via video, voice-over feedback and online calls.
-
In-person lessons – available locally in and around Dungannon.
If you have any accessibility needs (for example difficulty hearing spoken feedback, or needing written summaries), please let me know and I will do my best to adapt how I deliver the coaching, such as:
-
Providing written summaries of key points
-
Using email or messaging where video or audio is difficult
-
Adjusting the format or pacing of sessions where possible
4. Known Limitations
Despite my efforts, some parts of this website or my content may not yet be fully accessible. For example:
-
Some older images or media may not have full alternative text.
-
Third-party content or platforms (such as payment providers or embedded videos) may have their own accessibility limitations.
I am continually working to improve the accessibility of the site as I update and add new content.
5. Feedback and Contact
If you experience any difficulty using this website, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, please contact me:
Email: s.ackermann.pga@gmail.com
Please include a brief description of the problem (for example which page or section) and the type of device or assistive technology you are using, if you are comfortable sharing that. I will review your feedback and do my best to address any issues.
6. Enforcement and Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the response to an accessibility request or complaint, you may have the right to raise the issue with the relevant authority in your country (for example, the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, depending on the nature of the issue).
7. Updates to This Statement
I may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to accessibility practices.
