1. Who I am

This website is operated by Stefan Ackermann – PGA Professional, based in Dungannon, Northern Ireland. I provide in-person golf lessons and online coaching, including 3D swing analysis and coaching programmes.

2. What personal data I collect

I may collect and process the following information about you:

  • Contact details – name, email address, phone number and any other details you provide when you book a service, fill in a form or contact me.

  • Booking and service information – which service you book, dates and times, notes relevant to your coaching, and any videos or images you choose to send for analysis.

  • Payment information – payment method and transaction details. Card details are processed securely by third-party payment providers (such as Wix Payments and/or PayPal); I do not see or store your full card number.

  • Communication records – emails, messages or other correspondence between us.

  • Website usage data – technical data such as IP address, device type, pages visited and cookies, collected via Wix and its analytics tools.

 

3. How I use your personal data

I use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide coaching services you have requested, including managing bookings, delivering online coaching and sending follow-up information.

  • To process payments and maintain basic accounting records.

  • To communicate with you about your bookings, coaching, or enquiries.

  • To improve my services and website, e.g. understanding which pages are visited most.

  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

I do not sell your personal data to third parties.

 

4. Legal bases for processing

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), I rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract – where processing is necessary to provide the coaching services you have booked.

  • Legitimate interests – such as managing my business, improving services and keeping basic business records.

  • Legal obligation – where I must keep certain records for tax or accounting purposes.

  • Consent – where you have specifically agreed to receive certain communications (you can withdraw consent at any time).

 

5. Who I share your data with

I may share your data with trusted third parties who help me run my business, including:

  • Wix.com Ltd – which hosts this website, provides the booking system and stores data on my behalf.

  • Payment providers – such as Wix Payments and/or PayPal, to process your payments securely.

  • Email and communication services – used to send booking confirmations and respond to messages.

These service providers only process your data as required to provide their services and are not allowed to use it for their own marketing.

 

6. International transfers

Wix and some of the other service providers I use may store data on servers outside the UK/EEA (for example in Israel, the EU or the USA). They use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other recognised mechanisms to protect your data in accordance with UK data protection law.

 

7. How long I keep your data

I keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including:

  • Coaching and booking records – generally up to 6 years for accounting and tax purposes.

  • Emails and messages – for as long as needed to manage our relationship and meet legal obligations.

  • Videos and swing analysis files – for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide and review your coaching, unless you ask me to delete them sooner (where allowed by law).

 

8. Your rights

You have certain rights over your personal data, including the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data I hold about you.

  • Ask for incorrect or incomplete data to be corrected.

  • Request deletion of your data where there is no good reason for me to keep it (this may not apply where I must keep records for legal reasons).

  • Object to certain types of processing, or ask me to restrict processing in some circumstances.

  • Request transfer of your data to another service provider where technically possible.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK data protection authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
